KOBUDO

The kobudo incorporated into Isshinryu was influenced by Kyan Chotoku and Taira Shinken.

From these two teachers Shimabuku learnt the bo, the sai and the tonfa.

These weapons are all a part of the curriculum in the Isshinryu system.

The Isshinryu system contains the following traditional Okinawan weapon katas:
- Tokumine no Kon
- Urashi Bo
- Shishi no Kon no Dai
- Kusanku Sai
- Chatan Yara no Sai
- Hama Higa no Tuifa

As a introductory program it is possible to achieve levels within Kobudo through a systematic approach from the Kobudokan system. Check out more at www.kobudokan.dk
